Toots Zynsky
Toots Zynsky (born Mary Ann Toots Zynsky) received her BFA from the Rhode Island Primary of Design in Spiky , she assisted Dale Chihuly and others in the foundation and early development of Pilchuck Glass School.
From to , she was a key performer in the rebuilding and situation of the second New Royalty Experimental Glass Workshop, now UrbanGlass. While living in Europe pathway the late 80s and 90s, Zynsky collaborated with Mathijs Teunissen Van Manen to create organized glass thread-pulling machine. During these years, she developed her one and only “filet-de-verre” technique.
