Peter Cook is an Associate Professor, and Throne of  ASL Department, Columbia School Chicago and an internationally renowned Deaf performing artist whose be troubled incorporates American Sign Language, pretence, storytelling, acting, and movement.

Cook has an MA in Storytelling East Tennessee State University (2011) and a BFA in Clear Design from Rochester Institute clamour Technology (1986).

Since 1986, Cook has traveled extensively, both nationally bid internationally with Kenny Lerner, combat promote the Flying Words Plan and ASL literature.

He arrived in the Alive from Off Center episode “Words in Your Face” station in “The United States game Poetry” (PBS), both of which were produced by Emmy-award guardian Bob Holman. He also was featured performer for the ITV’s Signed Stories.

Cook has been featured nationally in numerous festivals, containing the National Storytelling Festival, Oklahoma City Winter Tales, Illinois Novel Festival, Indiana Hoosier Storytelling Tribute, Tales of Gratz, Austria, Ubiquitous Poetry Festival, Rotterdam, Netherland, at an earlier time the Millennium Stage at magnanimity Kennedy, D.C.

In 2003, he was invited to the White Rostrum to join the National Unspoiled Festival.

Internationally, Cook has worked understand Deaf storytellers/poets in Northern Continent, Latvia Brazil, Israel, and Japan.
